I say right out front that I'm an amatuer and this could be a dumb question.... But, do I need a clutch pedal return spring for my set up? I'm running a master/slave setup with the late model bellhousing in my 67.

I wasn't sure becuase, I thought the spring might just be used with the linkage setup and brake pedals dont have springs...

I'm just getting the last of my supplies before it all goes together. Thanks in advance.

well the clutch pedal itself doesnt need the return spring, the only spring that you will be using in the hydraulic system is the one that is placed on the bracket that holds the slave cylinder, and connects with the clutch fork. Hopefully this helps, or you can also see this link to see what it might look like, it helped out a lot when i did mine on my 68.

I used an old emergency brake spring from the fork to the slave bracket. Cut it and bent a hook on it to fasten to the bracket. This keeps the clutch fork pulled against the slaves' push rod.
