Hi all, those that have read my earlier posts know I'm having cooling problems after a rebuild. One area I'm now looking at is a lean mixture, I pulled the jets last night and they're 54 & 65. How do these sound for a 2v Boss clone? Street avenger carb (new), cam can't remember specs. 10:1, comp headers and 2 1/4" twin system. Below is a picture of the plug.

thats a little lean on the front. go up a couple of sizes at a time until it helps, then go back one.probably somewhere in the 62-64 range.

So you say only go up on the front only? I thought it was a large difference between the front and rear jets... But being a new carb it would be set up right! Did you base your recomendation on the look of the plug or your knowledge of jet sizes?

both. holley normally jets their street carbs this way. you may have to go up some on the rear later, but start with the front.
