Exclamation Need help finding 8" rear end

Just finished building my 289. Heads, cam, the whole works. New c-4. I have a 3:00 open 8" rearend. Would like to change third member out for a limited slip 3:50 gears. Anyone have one they want to sell or know where I can get one reasonably priced. I know the companies where I can buy one new but don't have that kind of cash right now. Gear doesn't matter. Anyone?

How much HP is your engine making? The 8" rear is not bulletproof like the 9" rearend. I would switch to the 9" if you're going to be producing more than 300hp.

I'd suggest you join a local Mustang club. It's the best source for parts besides ebay and Craigslist.

Currie Enterprizes makes a limited slip rear for the 8" that is bolt in with not mods required to the drivshaft for around $1100.

Try Larry's Mustang Supply in Moulton, AL. I don't have the number, but you can use information. He has a ton of donor cars, and will help you out.
