Default 1969 Mustang Headlight Bucket Removal?

Howdy folks,

My son and I are stripping down his 1969 Mustang in preparation for paint. Everything was going well until we stalled out at the headlight buckets. I can't determine where the access points are for removal.

I would appreciate any assistance you could provide. It will save us quite a bit on labor costs.

Thank you,

Mike

Head light buckets are attached to the front fender as all one piece or shell. You will have to take the fender off and remove the splash sheild from behind the bucket. (3) nuts are holding the bucket on. you will need a socket (3/8" or 7/16") and extension to get 2 of them.

I appreciate the quick response. I was hoping I didn't have to remove the fenders, shucks.

Thank you,

Mike
