Thumbs up 1970 Mustang front end replacement

I have a 70 sportsroof with manual steering. I was considering trying to buy a used Granada and take the front end out from it and change out the front end on the mustang to disc breaks and maybe power steering. I've found a rack and pinion set up on Ebay for my mustang for around $700 plus shipping.
My question is, what is your thoughts on the rack and pinion verses the power steering off of a used car?
Anyone had good or bad experiences with these bolt on rack and pinion set ups? Either way, I think I am going the disc brake route tho.
Also have a 66 coupe with a 6cyl and c-4 I bought for $1600 that about all it needed was top hats in the cowl and new front springs. Am considering doing the rack and pinion on it also. Any comments on this too?
Thanks All

Either by a kit that is specifically made for your app.or leave it stock. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches in the future.
