Question 1965 Mustang, harmonic balancer seal install ?

I am working on my 65 mustang with a 351w from 71. I bought a new timing chain cover that came with hamonic balancer seal and i am not seeing how to install this in to the timing chain cover is there a trick? I know its a tight fit but i dont want to damage it by using a hammer.

Just lube the outside of the seal, use a large block of wood to spread the load and use light taps of a hammer, making sure you don't get the seal cocked. Work your way around till it seats.

Make sure you support the underside with wood as well, if you beat on the top with no support you will easily warp or break the aluminum cover and it will never seal right again.
