Default 1965 Mustangs Brake line problem

I'm almost ready to drop in my motor to my converted 65. I just ran into a small problem. When connecting the brake lines to the front brakes, the did not fit. When I tried to attach them, the threaded part snapped/pulled away from the metal extension leading to the rubber part of the hose. The line was pushing against the top arm of the spindle. That is what made it snap. The 64 1/2 lines have a short metal extension leading to the threading. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to connect the lines to the wheel cylinders....or if they make an angled brake line?

Basically, the front brake hoses won't fit into the wheel cylinders on the front brakes because the upper spindle arm is in the way on each side.

I supose the logical reply to that would be why is it in the way, but looking back through your previous posts I see you are doing a six to eight conversion here. You havent made any reference to changing any thing in the front hub or suspension area, but you must have, or have put something back the wrong way round or they would fit as they did before.

I just bought another set of lines.....they are braided stainless steel from Summit. Nope, everything is the way it should be. I basically just ground a little groove into the driver side line so it would fit perfectly. The driver side wheel cylinder is a little thick because it is reproduction. Sometimes aftermarket things won't fit.

Also to answer your other question....yes everything has been converted over. The rear suspension, the rear axle and third member, the steering, the front suspension and spindles. Also the fuel lines, brake lines, and master cylinder.
