Default clutch kit or conversion. help. please.

im a college kid with a 66 6cyl 3 speed. my clutch has gone bad, and someone told me i need to buy a new kit to replace it, but i cant find any for the 6cly, only for the v8's... i saw this T5 conversion thing that someone said i would need to do... is there any way or anywhere i can get a clutch kit complete for my 6cyl, i have not a lot of money for conversions... thank you so much for the help.

This is a clutch kit that should fit with your car. You can do a T5 swap if you want to, but it will cost you more than $200.

Seriously, all you need to do is replace the part/s that are bad.
You may want to replace the clutch plate, pressure plate and throw-out bearing.
All of these parts can be purchased at a local ADAp or PEP Boys places like that.

I wouldn't even think of a swap to T-5.

Just fix what you got. Check around at local auto supply houses. Print Dad
