Again, i have agree with print Print Dad on this one as well. Look for cracks on the flywheel surface. If a cars been run had, the face of the flywheel where the clutch disc comes into contact will get cracks. If its blue from heat like print dad says, it could be warped slightly if so, pull the flywheel off and have it ground (providing the teeth are not wore or chipped. its cheaper to take it to a machine shop (engine shop) and have it ground than to buy a new one. otherwise replace it. If you are unsure, then consider the amount of work you will have to go through if you have to pull the flywheel off after putting it together and have it in the car. |
