 1965 Mustang 3-speed: Replace or rebuild shifter?
Hi all,
I recently bought a 1965 Mustang Coupe, 200 ci I-6 with a 3-speed manual. It's no peach. Needs a lot of work, but it's all original and it's straight! This car is my very first restoration.
When we looked at the car, it wouldn't shift into 3rd gear and we couldn't tell if it was just a shifter problem or a transmission problem. Once we got it home and jacked it up, we figured out that it's a shifter problem.
So my question is: Is it better to rebuild the existing shifter or should I just buy a replacement. |
