Default 1967 Mustang Stutter when first accelerating

Hello,
I am having a problem with my 1967 Mustang. The car has a 289 2bbl engine with an automatic transmission and power steering. No a/c and no power brakes. Everything on the car is stock.
It stutters and sometimes stalls when accelerating from an idle. If you give it a lot of throttle, it will not do this. Within the past month I have rebuilt the carb, and replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, vacuum advance line, fuel and air filters. I also tuned the carb and got a reading of 19 hg and redid the timeing at 6 degrees BTC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

This could also be caused by low float levels in the carb fuel bowl. Also check that the accelerator pump on the carb is adjusted correctly. With engine off, look down the carb throat while opening the throttle. you should see a stream of gas with the first movement of the throttle. If not, the fuel level in the carb is too low and/or the accelerator pump needs adjustment.

My choke is open 100% when the engine warms up. But I can not find the stock settings for my accelerator pump on the net anywhere. Right now its set up with the rod, on the pump end, in the hole closest to the pump and on the throttle end, its in the 2nd hole down. Does that sound about right?

hey, mine does the same thing. I have not started to try and fix it yet. Too many other things on the list right now. I can not wait to see how you fix it. Please keep us posted.
