Question Any suggestions on simple upgrades for 1966 mustang 289

Anyone have and suggestions or tips on any simple and cost effective Mechanical and interior upgrades for a 66 mustang 289 V8.

you could upgrade to the pony interior. It might take more money than you want to spend but it looks really sharp. If your interior is worn out you could just replace the old with new. An electronic ingition would be a good upgrade that wouldn't cost a lot. If you can do the work yourself you could always get an intake and 4-barrel carb.

Monte carlo bar and export brace are a must.For the interior look at MP PRODUCTS MUSTANG PARTS

nothing says cheese more than the pony's in the seats from the pony interior...sorry, it's not personally for me.

restore the interior, make the car look sharp..that's my best advice.

since you're not asking about how to turn it into a race car, I'd concentrate on making sure it's good and reliable, and focus your attention on good upgrades such as carpet, seats, trim parts and chrome and paint.

once you start modding it for speed, you can never go back....Perhaps put a good exhaust on it and a 4 bbl carb/intake and call it quits there.

I think a nice set of late model 17" bullitt mustang wheels look great on the classics.
