Default Edelbrock 1407 on Cleveland 351 Question

Hello Mesomorphman,
I am trying to help on this. Just been so long since I worked on automatics.

I wish I could help more, and I wish I could see the parts in person.

I looked at my books and came up with these pictures.
The first, from a book shows what the stock set up should be.
i am pretty sure it is from an earlier motor, but perhaps it will give you a little idea.

The second picture is your part that you ordered. it would seem like it could be adapted.

Take look. Did you ever get the base gasket for the motor?
