Default Wheel fitment question and how to..

I've been seeing reading alot when those who want to put in lg rear wheels you need spacers and "massaging of the fender" not sure what that all means. I mean I understand but not sure how you would go about that I guess... This was a set up I just love.
Wheels:
Budnik Famoso Billet
17"x7" front
18"x10" rear

Tires:
BFGoodrich g-Force KDW
215-45-17 front
295-35-18 rear

I have 17" x 8" on all fours with 4.5" offsets. I really dont see how you would get the rears to clear without having a offset of 5.5" to 6". I assume you have drum brakes ?

all things considered, I dont see how you could get by just rolling the lip in the rear quarters. I would almost think you would need to cut out your quarter lip completely and raise it.

the best thing to do is go to a good tire shop ( not a discount tire place). If they know you are serious about buying, they will try slip up to see what interferes and you can see what has to be done.
