Default 1967 Mustang coupe front end squeek

I have a squeek in the front of my 67 coupe. I think its coming from the 1 in sway bar I installed. The rubber bushings are making a squeek when i hit a bump or if I push down on the front of the car. Should I tighten up the sway bar or is that something I have to live with.

Did you use a lot of grease in the bushings?... some bushings even have nipples on the bottom of them so you can add grease. I think tightening it would make it squeak worse... You should have polyurethane bushings also, not rubber ones.

No I did not use grease when I installed it and there are no grease fittings. I was told not to use poly bushings that they were to hard. What type of grease will help.

Who told you not to use poly bushings on the sway bar? You should use rubber bushings on all the other suspension components EXCEPT the sway bar. Poly bushings on the sway bar greatly improve the performance of the sway bar, and going with a big 1'' or 1 1/8'' sway bar and using rubber bushings defeats part of the purpose. I would get new a new poly bushing kit, it should come with the white grease. The bushings that go onto the bar have little grooves on the inside to hold in more grease so the bar will never squeak, also you can buy bushings that have built in nipples to grease them if they ever need more grease.
Or you can take off your rubber ones and grease them and put them back on. I believe the grease is white silicone grease.

Or you can try the WD-40 for a quick squeak stopper, haha
