Default 1965 Mustang Tranny Dipstick Installation

Where does the dipstick bolt up to? Does it bolt up to the engine block or the firewall??

On my 6 cyl engine, it uses the same bolt that holds the starter on. It is the top bolt on the passenger side. Good luck.

It attaches to one of the bellhousing to engine bolts, as milford stated. The only exception would be if a "pan fill" C4 was installed in your Mustang. If that was the case, I have no idea how that would work. The Mustang always used the "case fill" C4 where the filler tube fits into the transmissions housing or "case".

It's a TCI case-filled C-4. Thanks guys. I'm just tying up loose ends for my 6 cyl. conversion. I was leaking tranny fluid from around the base of the dipstick and I think it's b/c the dip stick is moving around (hint: not bolted in).
