4.6 cobra or explorer heads on my 289

i have a chance to get ford explorer heads for my 289 for cheap.
but i was wondering will 1996 4.6 cobra heads fit? are they gt40p?

I know the 4.6 Cobra heads wont fit your 289 since it's a pushrod vs a modular motor.

Wow, Way to cross plains there...And no, the 4.6 heads will not fit. Your 289 is a pushrod engine and the 4.6 id modular. Get the ford explorer heads.
