Thank you for helping out this fellow, as I pointed out in my post I was not sure of my advice and that is why I suggested further research on his behalf. I was going from memory on the old 302's I worked with a really - really long time ago and then we adjusted them as I described and the engines worked flwalessly (and quitely)for years. I suppose the 351W is different.

some years of 302 used the same setup, and some were adjustable. the way you described the adjustment is correct. similar to a chevy.
