Default 5.0 swap 68 Mustang?

hello all,I need some info please! I want to swap a 1995 5.0L into a 1968 Mustang,it has the c-4 tranny.I'm gonna carb it,but I need to know what balancer and flexplate to use with the earlier timing cover, already have front sump oil pan,and what do I do about the power steering pump can i use the newer serpentine belt set up?and is the newer style pump to much presure for the old style p.s.gear box? i also have the alternator,ps and ac set up off of a 1985 LTD if that will work??

You will need a 50oz flexplate and 50 oz harmonic balancer to match that 5.0 engine.

The serpentine setup and PS pump will work. I have the serpentine setup from an 86 or so Grand Marquis on mine. I used the 86 PS pump until it started leaking this year and replaced it wiith one for a 93 5.0 Mustang. I used a fan from a Mercury Capri 5.0...

You will need the older style sump oil pan, pickup tube, and timing cover w/dipstick. (Plug the old dipstick hole in the block.)

The serpentine bracket for the alternator interferes with the old style dipstick. I drilled a hole in the bracket and just routed the dipstick through the bracket. It was a little tight, but works great!

OH! The serpentine water pump turns the opposite direction...
Be sure to use a fan of the right rotation.
The lower radiator hose to the reverse water pump will be on the wrong side, but you can adapt something or perhaps buy an adapter tube. I used a custom radiator with the lower fitting moved to the other side...
