Default v-belt setup for a 91 302 in a 68 coupe

Okay,

What I have: I have a 1991 302, with a '66 289 timing cover and a standard rotation water pump. Brand new alumninum radiator with bottom and top tubes on the passenger side. Also a 4 bolt balancer.

What I don't have: is a set of pulleys that will align properly to make my v-belt set up work. I need a crank pulley that has 4 bolts. Does any body know a way through this mess?

I have tried a few things the lastest was a crank pulley out of a 70's era F-100 truck, the bolts fit but the center doesn't fit over the lip on the balancer.

I've got an 87 5.0L HO in my 72 coupe with the 72 timing cover and standard rotation water pump. I'll see if I can find a part number on my crank pulley. Pretty sure its all the original parts from the 72 302 that was in the car. The previous owner swapped the engine.

The 50oz balancer for the 86 and up 5.0 has a slightly larger pilot than the older 4 bolt balancers in order to run a serpentine belt pulley. I ran a CVF racing aluminum pulley set which is comparable to the March pulley set but about $50 cheaper. I would say thats your easiest solution. If you don't have the $150 you could just file down that pully until it fits over the pilot on the balancer. It might not be the best way of doing it but its a quick fix.
