Default 1967 mustang inline 6

I have a '67 Mustang with an inline 6 in it. I notice there were different sizes of the inline 6, i.e. 170/200/240 cubic inch. Which one was offered in the 1967 Mustang? Thanks

If it is the original engine it will be a 200ci. The 170ci was used in 1964.5 then for 1965 it was up-ed to 200. Then in 1969 they started phasing out the 200 with the 250 (you could have had either). 1970 the 200ci no longer existed, there was only the 250.

The T code 200 was still available in the 1970 model year.

In 69 and 70 both 6 cyl engines were available, the 200 was the base engine on all models except the Mach 1 and Boss cars (obviously). The larger 250 was an option along with the 8 cyl motors.

In 1971 the 200 was gone and the base engine was the L code 250. Because of this all 71-73 cars were 5 lugs from the factory too. Due to the Mustang becoming even bigger and heavier in 71 and with government emmissions regulations starting to take place with all motors starting to be downgraded in HP and torque the "little 6" 200 would have been a waste in those big bodied cars.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.
