Default 65 / Stalls/Boggs when secondary kicks on

I've got a 65 with a stock 289..Edelbrock 600 carb, electronic ignition...idle's and starts fine...while running will bogg/stall when more gas is applied to carb...removed carb and tested on my 66 coupe no problems...suspect maybe timing or electronic ignition problem...any suggestions?

We've adjusted timing couple of times, changed vacuum advance from primary to secondary port on carb, back to primary, have noticed that we had to re-adjust timing as if the chain had possibly bumped a link...do you think maybe we need to open her up and take a look at the timing chain?
