Default PIG MUFFIN wonders who all is running an Edelbrock Air Gap RPM on there 289/302?

Looking at getting on of these sexy things for the top end of my motor, but wanted to see who has used or is using one currently to see if it is justifiable to pay the extra 50 over the regular RPM manifold.

We used one on a 351W a few years back, my friend was very happy with it.

I don't have the Edelbrock air-gap, but a cheaper knock-off from Power Plus - might want to check that out. I had to use a thin air filter in order to fit it under the hood without modification. I think it has been worth it. I've read in Dyno-Proven SBF Performance that you would gain only a little HP/TQ over something like a dual-plane weiand stealth

Hi: I have one on my 67 daily driver with a Ford crate motor (302, 340 hp). It seems to work well. Can't say if it's better than a non-air gap, this is the only manifold I've had. Two issue for me: 1) The car needs a lot of choke if it's cold (even around 50*). I think that because the manifold does not heat up as fast. 2) I have a persistent small coolant leak from the pass side front that is the result of a poor seal between the head and manifold. Don't know it it's the manifold's fault, or not.

But it does look good!
