Default How can I fabricate my own Hood Scoop?

I have a 1965 that I would like to put a shelby gt 350 style hood scoop on. I've been wanting to fabricate something out of fiberglass for a while and i think that the gt 350 hood scoop seems pretty straightforward. Any idea where i can find dimensions on it? Also what are a few pointers for fabbing something like this up for the first time?

It will be so much easier and cheaper to buy one. I'd like to build my own engine but zoning laws won't allow for a smelting operation in my backyard.. I appreciate your desire though, I really do.

We have a guy who did that very thing, he used his factory hood and made his own cowl. He could tell you about he did his.

Thanks yea I figure with a good fiberglass mat and some resin it shouldn't be too difficult. Maybe making a rib type mold out of cardboard?
