Default No exterior lights work on 66 mustang

I have a 1966 mustang that I just bought. The exterior lights work sometimes but most times (including now) don't work.

List of lights not working:
front park lights with light switch in park light mode
tail running lights
license plate light
brake lights
blinkers

The headlights work (both high and low beams) but that is all. Meter shows no power at the accessory fuse (top fuse in the panel) at all but I don't if the power goes from the fuse box to the turn switch or from the turn switch first and then to the fuse. I assume the problem is under the dash some where, however the brake lights don't work either and I don't think they run through fuse so maybe there is a short for the brake lights causing all my other problems.

Thanks for suggestions.

Default Pull steering wheel?

I assume I will need to pull the steering wheel to access the turn switch. After I pull the steering wheel is the turn switch readily accessible or do I need to take apart the steering column?

1st thing is check all the ground connections. Then, find the brake light switch at the upper part of the brake pedal.

Take both of those wires off and check with your meter if you are getting 12v at one of those wires. Of course, make sure you use one of your volt meter leads for ground. If you have 12 volts at the switch, then check for continuity at the switch.

If the switch is good, then check for voltage at the rear tail light harness.

Next, I'd change out the headlight switch in the dash before doing anything else. It's most likely the original & the contacts are trash. You can pick one up at Advance auto or Auto Zone for around $15.

One more thing, check continuity of the fuses. Fuses don't always look bad at first glance.

I would check these things before pulling the steering wheel.

Does hot wire go from the fuse to the blinker switch or does the hot feed come from the blinker first then on to the fuse?
