Default How do you remove a 66 headlight switch?

I'm tying to remove the headlght switch on my 66 mustang. I pulled out the intrument panel, removed the wire plug from the switch and losened the nut that says 'lights' in front of the pull-our nob but I can figure would how to get the nob off and loosening the nut didn't seem to help much with getting the switch out. My instrument panel lights don't work and I suspect it's the dimmer. Any ideas? Thanks!

Look for a little button on the body of the light switch which should release the shaft allowing you can pull the knob along with the shaft out of the switch.
