Default To rebuild or not to rebuild?

Hey, i just got done with a compression check today to check out the motors condition, and it seems to be pretty good. Heres what i got.
Cylinder
1) 110
2) 135
3) 135
4) 130
5) 135
6) 135
7) 135
8) 125

I was originally planning on building a HO roller for it but now i feel like it may not be worth it. I still am doing a complete top end swap with worked e7's, weiand stealth, and an edelbrock 600. It smokes at the start but i think they are spitting valves which will get replaced anyway. What are your guys's opinions? The motor is a mid 70's mustang motor that i dont believe has ever been rebuilt. Too crappy looking. Thanks in advance.

i would get better heads if your going to be doing your top end even a pair of gt40s would be better than the worked e7s.

If you are not looking to make a whole lot of horsepower and are getting them for a good price then use the e7's and spread some of the left-over money elsewere

yeah I would use gt40's but I already have all those top end parts already. Just going to get a valve job and call it a day. Not looking for huge hp numbers just an efficient motor that has enough power for a teenager haha. But those numbers are good right?

Comon people, i know some of you guys know what an early 302's compression should be. That 110 psi cylinder worries me.

You only did half the compression check.
After you baseline the compression (which you've done) you need to go back to the low compression cylinders and squirt about1 tsp of oil in the cylinder, then recheck the compression. If it goes up more than about 10%, you have bad rings or some other piston sealing issue. You might also try doing a leakdown test, but that is more complicated than I want to go into on a message forum.

For my preferences, all those numbers seem low. I would far rather have numbers up around 175 - 200 min. But you did say it was a tired 70's motor so it's probably a low compression engine to start with.
