Default 1966 Mustang 351 Windsor Cam for Low end Performance

hey guys,

Im looking for a cam for my 351 windsor that will give optimal low to mid range performance. The motor right now is almost completely stock. The only mods are an Offenhauser intake and a 4 barrel carburator. Thank in advanced.

If you go to the various camshaft manufacturers web sites, they will list camshafts that they offer by the RPM range that you want.

The Comp Cam Magnum 270h is meant for the 1,800 rpm and up range which is what you want as long as you intake isnt like some single plane hi rise that comes on in the 2,500 and up range....your heads, cam, intake and exhaust all work together...so if all of the other things are in the 1500 to 5500 range and your doing a hydraulic cam, the comp magnum 270h is @ .050 224/224 int/exh should do you right. Wont mess your idle up and you can use a stock converter if you have an auto.
