Default Restoring 1968 mustang center console

Hey guys,

I'm restoring the center console of my 68 coupe. I have two questions. Does anybody know where i can get the vinyl prep solution that will allow the new dye to take. Also does anybody know what paint i can use that will match the camera case flat black?

Thanks.

Ooo, I love the red! I have a black center console that I'll have to clean up/restore one day for my '68 coupe. Unfortunately I don't have the answers to your questions, but I wish you the best of luck!

let me just say i envy the fact that you both have restorable consoles. mine has chunks of vinyl missing and some bashed up plastic. and not a soul is making reproductions.
anyway, you can probably find it all at cjpony. they are a great source for parts like that. personally, i like to head of to the local mustang shop. but they both get the same job done!
