Default Hey guys could use some help

So I'm still having some issues with my car, all the ignition switch/wires are done and hooked up the way they should be. Now when I started the car it fired right up idle for a few long enough to get my shoes on the sputter and died. Cranked it up again and the samething happen. So I figured it ran out of gas bc I was already low. Fast forward to yesterday filled it up and the samething happen but very very hard to get her to crank, it will crank just won't start. So again it will idle rough for a few as it warms up then dies. So could we be talking about a fuel pump??

Hello 1969danscoupe,
I don't know your motor or carb but it could be fuel related.

I would install a clear filter in the fuel line before the carb.
This will show how the fuel pump is doing and will help clean the gas.

Also, if you rn to the bottom of the tank you could have sucked up
sludge or dirt which could clog lines or make passages blocked.

Many possible causes...Try the filter and see what you get. Print Dad
