Hey, i decided to keep the motor i got and upgrade with pertronix. The motor i got is from a 75 mustang and im guessing all the ignition pieces are also. As im looking through all the adds for these pertronix parts i notice almost all of them say its for up to 1974 v8 302's. What difference does it make? Was the distributor a different design in 75 or am i good to go and buy it? Thanks for the help.

Why not call Pertronix (PerTronix Product Support). I'd expect them to know more about all of their products and configurations than anyone.

I think you hit the nail on the head - the '75 (or maybe '76?) was already electronic ignition with the new distributor - there would not be any points there to convert to Pertronix.

I thought that was the 80's with the duraspark dizzy that they converted to electronic. I know mine has points because ive replaced them before so i guess im good. Ill make the call just in case.
