Default 68 302 ARP timing chain cover bolt kit....need help on bolt locations.

Ok, I bought an ARP timing chain cover bolt kit for aluminum water pump, and my question is do the 6 bolts that are the same size in length go for just the cover and the other longer bolts for the water pump? Does any one have a Chilton example or Haynes of where the bolts go?

hmmmm...sounds reasonable. I would put a couple in to hold the cover, and try the others (longer ones) on the pump and see how they work. I had to this this on mine. Just took a few minutes to figure out. You'll know if one is too long. Just be easy so you don't damage any threads. If it gets tight, and too much is hanging out, stop, take it out, and try a shorter one.

I got 6 of them figured out, man you wouldnt think that would be so tough. The remaining ones should be enough for the pump. I figured it would just be a sit and screw session.
