Default 1968 Mustang coupe rust removal tips needed

I have a 1968 Mustang coupe that primarily needs the interior redone. The drivers side floor pan has been cut out for rust, and the rear footwell pan on the right is gone for the same reason. The interior needs a lot of surface rust remove. I have purchased a grinder with wire brush attachments as well as other sander attachments. After grinding away the rust, what are some recommended chemicals for preventing future rust, and what actions should I take as soon as I'm done clearing the rust and welding in new floor pans?

I will be replacing ALL of the interior, from carpets, to seats, kick panels, steering wheel, etc, and I will even be doing an engine swap. When is the best time to have my paint job done, before or after the engine swap? And will I need to strip down my entire car first?

After you have all the rust remove the best you can, brush or spray POR-15 great product that prevents rust. I spray my floor pans and under dash which came out great. But you can also brush it on if you don't have a spray gun

Don't have a sprayer. Is POR 15 something I should really only use for the interior? The exterior only has very slight rust in little spots here and there.

Por-15 can be used inside or out. I've never messed with it myself, I use epoxy primer for priming bare metal. If you don't top coat por-15 it will get chalky when exposed to the sun for while. There are other products similar to por-15 like rust-bullet and eastwoods rust encapsulator. If you prep the surface correctly it shouldn't matter which you use but I would recommend epoxy primer over any of the commercial rust preventative coatings.

Is there anything else I need to use other than POR 15 after removing the rust, but prior to taking it in to be painted?

And one more quick question, about how much POR 15 will I need if I were to use it on the entire car inside and out?

Thanks for your help guys. I will be able to finally get started on the car next sunday. Time has practically stopped and I'm dying to get moving.

And what would you recommend using if I were to take smaller parts off of the car that needed rust removal? What kind of chemicals should I use to bathe them in?
