Default 1965 289 do spark plugs angle to the rear on both sides or just driver side

We we putting these heads on and noticed the spark plugs angled toward the rear of the car on the drivers side head, and the the front of the car on the pass side, kind of odd, so wanted to see what the deal was. Are these two right cylinder heads or is this the was it was?

Hello. Thinking that someone might have put a left head on the right side? Fortunately, the cylinder heads are identical. There is no left or right, so, if the sparks plugs point forward on one side, and you rotate that head 180 degrees to put it on the other side, the spark plugs will be pointing backward. The short version of the answer is "It's supposed to be like that."

SBF heads are interchangeable from side to side.

Hi again. It never hurts to throw one out there and see what sort of people you're really dealing with.

Right on, I know they are interchangeable and unidirectional, so they can go on upside down as well

They also work exceedingly well when sitting on the floor of the trunk!
