Default Manual to Auto. Trans swap

I am wanting to put a c-4 trans in a 68 Mustang with a 200 6 cyl. My question is I have a case filled c-4 trans. no bellhousing, I need to know what bellhousing I will need, also flexplate, I noticed there are 2 a 157t and 164t. Can someone give me part numbers or webb site for the parts, thanks.

You will need a bell housing and flex-plate from just about any 200 cu" engine from 64 to 69. There are some differences from year to year but they will bolt up and work fine.

You are going to have to look in the wrecking yards or go to a specialty used parts site. Most transmission houses scrap the aluminum parts - they are just too bulky to store for as often as they sell. You might find a complete transmission core for $50 so don't pay too much for the parts. The drive plate can be found new, with or without ring gear. Some gears are on the converter - some on the flex plate.
