paint option for 69 coupe?

hi guys im sending my car to get painted and its a 69 coupe, its getting re-painted silver but i wanted to know would it look good if i paint the decklid matte/gloss black like in the picture. what do you guys think?

Be aware that a matte finish can be very hard to wax and have it look right, and you can't rub it out or you'll have shiny spots. I'd go with a gloss especially if you do a basecoat/clearcoat finish.

I see, so Ill probably just end up getting it gloss black, would it look good on a coupe as well?

beauty is in the eye man, PPG has a flattening agent the paint shop can put in the clear for the hood to make the clear dry in a matte finish and be durable and stain resistant. it can be waxed and everything but you can not put a buffer or electric/air polisher on it. Ask you paint shop. I thought blacking out the tail light panel and the outer headlight buckets looked cool too (but that is just me)

lethalstang: I guess you meant the the tail light panel,not the deck lid?
If you were talkin' tail panel,I think a satin/flat black would look good.I used SEM Hot Rod Black on my hood. You don't have to worry about getting wax on it,and looks good.
Just a thought.

yea the tail light panel. well basically the part in the picture i attatched. i guess ill go with the satin aha
