I am looking at getting some shorty headers, probably from a late 80's 5.0 to fit my 71 with a 302. Long headers to not fit with my clutch linkage. I am trying to find out if I can get h pipes that will fit directly to these headers or will I have to get custom pipes bent? Maybe there is a better option. I am leaning towards economy rather than performance. Any info would be great. Thanks

If the headers fit you should be able to fit the h-pipe. However the h-pipe on the late models has cats on them. FYI
