Default 1966 Mustang with 200 six to swap distributor and carburator

Gentlemen, I have a 1966 Mustang with a 200 and a cruiseomatic. It has been in the family since 1968. Four years ago I overhauled the head and now in an effort to make it run a little better, I would like to change the original load-o-matic distributor to a Duraspark II system. I realize that the autolite 1100 carburator and the load-o-matic are a system and therefore, would like to replace the 1100 with a Carter YF. Does anyone know if all of the intake manifolds have the same size carburator mounts and bolt spreads? For instance, will a Carter YF from a 1969 200 mount to my intake? If so, are all the throttle linkages the same? I am trying to get a better system without too many side effects and modifications. Any help would be appreciated.

All the 200 manifolds are the same size. Than the 250 intake manifold had a larger opening for the carburetor.

i have duraspark II on my 66 200 , i didnt change the carb or intake

Info: You can't change the intake. Carb is fine, but may have to go to a cable throttle. It will pull 187cfm on 200CI. Get the Duraspark setup for a 78 Fairmont. Even the dummies at the parts store can find that vehicle on their computer.

Hey, sorry to dig up an old thread, does the78 fairmont have points? Or is it electronic?

Stock was a Duraspark II ignition.
