Default New in forum and 1st question

Hello all,

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am spanish, living in Madrid, so please, forgive my english. I am a proud owner of a 1970 Mustang Coupé with a 351C and shaker hood. It is currently under "restoration" process.

My first question is about the shaker hood. I have not been able to determine wether this was an available option for a Coupe or it was a modification done by a previous user.

Thanks a lot.

Good question for a Mustang Gold Card judge. I'll try to answer as I know it. The shaker was a '69/'70 Mach I option. The Mach I was a "sportsroof" model. The deluxe coupe was a "Grande" and it didn't have a shaker hood.

I am 99% sure the shaker only came on Mach I's. I am 99% sure that Mach I's were all sportsroof models.

Yea, all Mach1's were sportroofs...but I want to know why I didn't get the shaker hood on mine!

So that means that my coupe could not have come with the shaker either as standard or option. It must have been a previous owner who installed it.

Well now that I have it, I'm not gonna get rid of it.

Thanx
