Default roller swap?

i have a 70 mach 1 and am going to install a 71 302 and auto trans in it. was thinking of installing roller rockers cuz it is a low mile engine, 68,000, and gonna put a 600 holley and intake on it. was wondering how difficult a swap the roller would be. is it basically jsut swapping the cam, lifters and rockers? how about the studs? is it worth it? car is far from being done but i like thinking ahead and driving myself nuts about things lol. thanks for any help!

Don't get roller rockers confused with roller lifters. Roller lifters are designed to work with roller camshafts. Roller rockers can be used with whatever camshaft you have, just be sure your valve covers are tall enough to clear the new rockers. Putting a roller camshaft into an older block is a pain because the lifter are not tall enough for roller lifters. This mean you either get very expensive conversion lifters or you get small base camshafts and drill your block for a spider retention system. IMHO not worth it, if you really want/need a roller camshaft get a later roller block.
