Water pump impeller disc Have any of you guys replaced your stock water pump with an after-market high-flow water pump? There is a water pump in the Summit catalog by Flow Kooler that claims to double the water flow at low rpms but lets the flow drop back to normal above 3,500 rpm. They say their pump “uses a steel plate in front of the impeller that traps water, increasing flow and reducing engine temperatures”. Does this sound legit to those who know better than I do how the water pump’s innards work? Flow Kooler also offers just the impeller disc for $5.95, as opposed to $78.88 for their entire pump. Anybody have any thoughts/opinions on this? Thanks!
