Default 1966 mustang 9" rear axle?

Hello,
I am having a custom 9" rear axle made to fit my 66 mustang.
I can not find the measurements for a 66 9" rear axle.
Dose anyone have these measurements? How wide it is backing plate the baking plate? Where the spring mount plates should be located? How wide the complete with brakes the axle should be? All the measure ments that you can give me would be great.
I haven't been able to find any so far on the net.
thanks

Why not use the measurement flange to flange of the rear you have now?

Yeah, it should measure the same on the rear-end you have now. Anyway, from axle flange to axle flange it's 57.25" and from tube flange to tube flange it's 52" I THINK, you might wanna check your old rear-end for verification on that least measurement.

Yeah and I think the spring perches are 43" center to center.

What everyone else said. An 8" housing and 9" housing are the same widths. So the length of the 8" you have now is should be the same length of the 9" your having made.

I don't have a 8 in rear axle right now i have the 6cyl 7 1/4 rear axle and they are totally different from the 9in and 8in. Thats why i need to find some acuret messurement for a 9in. So i can make one.
