Default wiper motor on nitro

Is there any way to boost or change the single speed wiper motor in my 65 must to another/better wiper motor. I know 66 made a 2 speed motor, but is it any faster? and other than a switch (66 2-speed) change, will it fit without any major mods? is there any other years or options out there that someone else had tried?

Thanks Jerry Dallas TX ( new be )

lol dont drive in the rain. ot all 66s came with a 2 speed. i always drive around in the rain with the motor on the first setting. i wish they had a delayed wiper switch . any who 65 and 66 are pretty much the same car couple different things changed that was it . it will bolt right in but you might need a different wiring harrness for it. not sure

Default two speed wiper motor

Not all 66s came with 2 speed wiper motor. Early 66 models still retained the single speed wiper motor. To make the swap it is a direct bolt-up to the mount, however the switch, wiring and even the washer pump (and washer pump wiring) is different. The Ford wiring diagram has both diagramed for the 66 as well to aid in the understanding. Hope this helps. The biggest problem will probably be locating the 2 speed wiper.

I have the '66 two-speed system in one of my '65's and two of my '66s. Trust me, it's a totally different system than the simple one-speed wiper system. Wires up totally different; the motor, wiring, and switch are all different and are virtually impossible to find.

Doesn't some company make a universal delay wiper kit? Seems like I saw it in Mustang Monthly a while back. It shouldn't be too hard to find, and it'd be much easier than trying to make a '66 two-speed wiper system work (and then, you STILL only have two wiper speeds).
