I was cleaning my engine today with carb cleaner and degreaser after blocking off the carb. I also cleaned the battery terminal, yanked some pullies and the fan for a good cleaning as well. After that i sprayed it down with some water and dried accordingly. My only problem is that after having sprayed i found a hole in the plastic wrap i used on the carb. I'm pretty sure that a small amount of water got into it but not that much. Maybe a few drops. How long should i let my engine dry out before trying to turn it over to prevent hydro lock?

Hello.You should be fine in the morning.I think that I'd change the oil just for fun.Water isn't a very good lubricant.Hope that helps.
