Default 1970 Emgergency Flashers and Turn Signals

I have a newly acquired 1970 Mustang base model.

Left turn signal indicator on dash does not want to work.

Swapped the bulb and bulb holder to the right side and they work fine.

No apparent breaks in printed circuit board.

Also Hazard lights don't work.

Could this all be related to a bad Hazard light switch relay??

Any ideas would be appreciated before I spring for a new printed circuit and a switch relay...

Thanks:?:

Personally, I wouldn't buy anything, until the problem is figured out, first you need a wiring diagram for a 70 mustang, if you yahoo or google a search for one you will get a lot of them, check one over for the dash wiring and instrument panel wiring, the wiring is different for indicator lights (oil and alt) than for the gauges, once you find one, print it off, and put a link to the one you selected on a post to your thread, that way we are all on the same page. There should be separate wires going to the connector that plugs into the printed circuit board for the left and right blinker bulbs, a weak spot on pc boards is where the connectors are soldered, the pins and tabs due to flexing will break the solder joint to the land on the pc board, so look closely. Good Luck.

turn signals are wired through the flasher switch.... had the same problem with my 72 and after hours of checking connections i was leaning against my hazard switch trying to reach under the dash and they started working (freaked me out) i would look there. push and pry on it while your turn signals are on and just maybe there will start to work.. it worked for me! good luck

Pulled the dash out and checked all the bulbs and even replaced bulbs. I messed around with the flasher switch and they are now working. Now neither one of the indicators on the dash will light. All outside indicators are working great but the dash indicators are not lighting.

I have a manual with wiring diagrams but I cannot see the turn signals indicated on it anywhere. Pulled the dash out and checked all the bulbs and even replaced bulbs.Looked at all the bulb holder tabs and they appear in good shape. I messed around with the flasher switch and now hazard flashers are working. Now neither one of the indicators on the dash will light. All outside indicators are working great but the dash indicators are not lighting.Tried to find another wiring diagram online but no luck.
