 1965 289 cylinder head problem
I put a set of 289 heads on 92 mustang. I put the stock push rods in to check for proper push rod length and they were way to long and shortened it to where the rocker arm(1.7 roller tip rocker arm) is on the center of the valve and i came up with a push rod that is 5.860. it just doesnt look right. When i tighten the rocker arm down i cant get my socket on the polylocks and i have to take out the set screw,i have a roller cam(e303),could it be that the camshaft doesnt go with heads or the 1.7 rockers wont work with these heads,please help very puzzled,thank u
