Front Side Marker Light 1968 HT

My 1968 Mustang HT are without side marker light and also without rear quarter markers.Anyone in here have an idea why?
I thought it had to be at all cars from 1968.My car was build/planned build 14.1.68.

Hello.Your car has probably had the front fenders replaced with 67 fenders.They are interchangable except for the no side marker light thing.Hope that helps.

the rear markers were inset into the quater panels until 02-15-68. check the vin on the dash...is it the same as the door and as the one in front of your drivers side shock tower?

No,vin on dash is gone and doortag and vin on shock tower are different.
All papers I have for the car use doortag-number

I think they have replaced shock tower from another car.

um....the door tag is not legal, on any car that you ever buy, NEVER trust the door tag. They even say on them "NOT FOR TITLE OR REGISTRATION PURPOSES." What is the VIN in front of the strut tower?
Does it start with a 7 or an 8?The dash VIN tag is some times hidden under the dash pad if it has been swapped.
