Okay, the rear half of the front frame rails on my 67 are destroyed--but they look straight. I bought replacements from National Parts Depot. Does anyone know how to replace them correctly? Ive head that you leave a lip of the origonal one to fit inside the new ones, in order to spot weld them together. If anyone knows any website thats would be great.

He has a front rail replacement write for his '66. I don't remember if it's the complete frame rail or the front half. Hope it helps out.

I think you are correct about the lip. My rails were in good shape, so I haven't had any hands on experience with those.
