1968 Mustang come with licence plate lights?

Did the 1968 Mustang come with licence plate lights? We just failed a state inspection because our car doesn't have this light. Thanks

Hello.Every Mustang ever built left the factory with a license plate light.Big Brother was just as interested then as he is now.

If you look at the area of the back bumper above the license plate you'll notice two screw holes.That's where it attaches.It sits up inside the bumper and the two screws go through the bumper then into the bracket that is part of the light housing.Hope that helps.
