Default Biggest Tire Size for Bullitt's on a 68'

Hello. I am trying to figure out what the biggest tires I can use on the rear of my 68' coupe. I am using 17x8" Bullitt wheels off an 01' GT. For the rear wheels, they bolted up directly to the current drum brake setup, without the use of the FRPP spacers. Now its 245/45's on there and they look tiny. (well bigger than the old 14's that were on there before)

Was just curious if anyone has used these type of wheels, what their rear tire sizes were. I am thinking that most likely the largest tire that I can stuff under there without narrowing etc. is probably somewhere in the area of 265/35/17's. I used to have 285/35/18's on my old 95'GT. Even though that's a completely different ride, I just got used to huge rear tires

Any ideas, help, comments are appreciated!!!
Thanks

Here is a link to buy these wheels new. Keep in mind these are Ford Racing wheels, not some cheap knockoff's.

I'll get a pic from the car and show you.

Here are pics which show 14" original then 17" mod. To use them you need the spacers. My rear tires bolted up without the spacers but the instructions said to change the studs so that the rear spacers could be used, which I think I'm going to do. Here is a link that talks about the spacers:

It would be nice to see if another else is using these wheels what sizes of tires they are using

You gotta get some longer studs pressed in. Not much different from Bullitts. Used a 3/4 in spacer up front to clear the upper control arm. No rubbin.
